What it measures
5 dimensions, one result
Each is scored on its own, so the result says which part moved, not just how far the whole did.

What the four letters are, honestly
This assessment places you on five dimensions and reports the first four as a code. It is worth being straight about what that is.
The four-letter framework is popular, memorable and useful as a shared vocabulary. It is not the framework academic psychology uses, and the type-based version of it — the idea that people come in sixteen discrete kinds — is not supported by the evidence. When you measure these dimensions across a large population you do not find sixteen clusters. You find continuous distributions, with most people somewhere in the middle.
So we measure the dimensions continuously, report where you actually fall on each, and give you the code as a summary rather than as a category. If you score 51% on one axis, the letter you receive is close to a coin toss, and the percentage next to it is the honest part of the result.
How this differs from the version you have seen
Three deliberate choices.
The dimensions are anchored to the Big Five, which is the model with the replication behind it. Our axes correspond closely to four of its five factors, which is why they predict anything at all.
The names are ours. The sixteen type names and the four family names used across this site were written for it. They are not the ones you may have seen elsewhere, which belong to the companies that coined them.
The percentages are shown. A result that reports only a code hides the one piece of information that tells you how much to trust it.
What to do with the result
Read the type description as a map of where the friction in your life is likely to be, not as an account of who you have to be. The most common misuse of a result like this is as a licence — I’m this type, so I’m just blunt — which takes a description of a tendency and promotes it to a fact about the world.
And if the description does not fit, that is information rather than a failure. The description that fits you is the one that fits you.

Test guidelines
- Answer each statement based on your personal opinion.
- You cannot skip questions, but you can return to them later.
- Answer as you actually are, not as you would like to be — the result is only as honest as the answers.
This assessment is a self-reflection tool. It does not provide a medical or psychological diagnosis, and no result here substitutes for advice from a qualified professional.
